I strongly encourage anyone who is serious about learning more about their web strategy to review this book. I work with a leading web consulting company in the automotive consultant, and I found the information laid out to be very relevant, and a the book presented a strong roadmap for anyone managing their internet advertising- whether alone or with a 3rd party vendor.

The book works hard to assign values and create meaningful KPI's for internet marketing. While each user must ultimately come up with their own metrics, the book shows you how you can begin to assess the value of hard to evaluate items including SEO and Social. Clearly, the author did his homework here, and shows this by presenting clearly laid out cases with data rather then speculation.

This book should be required reading in the industry, and hopefully it will inspire you to get insight by calculating your own numbers.

Jim's trivia questions as the chapters begin are fun! Soon you realize they set up the content. His excellent summaries and thorough bibliography keep the message open for easy future access.

Outstanding book that is exceptionally well written. Do not underestimate the precise, lucid prose, as there
are many themes woven into the millionaire guide. Most notably are the personal, business, and
philosophical tenets brought forward with a humorous touch and clear tone. The personal experiences
that are recaptured help the reader to develop an identification with the author. Then business experiences
develop a real life scenario on establishing success. Best of all the underlying philosophy is clear: be attuned

This book is big and detailed and covers specific real estate topics in each chapter that are written by experts in their field. The chapter on LLC's was very helpful and we're implementing the recommendations.

I didn't care for the characters. They weren't interesting. There were a lot of sex scenes, but they lacked emotional draw.

I wasn't thrilled. I wasn't drawn to the characters. The story was ok but could have used more depth. There were many sex scenes which were ok, but I wasn't drawn in emotionally. There was one event which didn't make sense to me. Dominic and Nadia like and enjoy each other, but he decides to return her to her home. This causes Nadia to feel rejected. He ends up taking her back, but I found it unnecessary. It was an illogical source of conflict. The Jelena story was a little more interesting, but again I wasn't drawn into the characters enough to enjoy it.

A minor problem: the cover picture is wrong. Dominic has a disfigured face. Cover guy does not.

STORY BRIEF:
Dominic is disfigured with scars on his face and body. Alexis had something to do with causing them when he broke up with her a few years back. She wants him dead and has a contract out on his life. He lives in a remote fortress-like home. Mikhail steals Dominic's car and sells it. Dominic comes to Mikhail's home threatening violence. Mikhail's daughter Nadia offers herself to Dominic saying she will live with him and do anything he says. He is intrigued and takes her home. He requires that she always be naked. They have a lot of sex which includes bondage, spanking and sex toys.

A second story is about Nadia's sister Jelena. She married a wealthy older man Henry. He pays a monthly allowance to Jelena and also to her father. Jelena asks for more money to help Nadia which Henry refuses. Jelena knows Henry will probably divorce her for someone younger and leave her with no money. She takes steps to get money and power. She uses sex to make this happen. There are several Jelena sex scenes in the book which include 2 women, 2 men with 1 woman, and rear door activity.

"Beauty and the Beast" Modernly Retold

Forgetting the fact that "Beauty and the Beast" told in the many different ways (culturally) has always been one of my favorite fairy tales, this book by Cathy Yardley is really good. Told with and in an excellent voice, composition, and new detailing, "Enslave" gives an erotically modern retelling of the story most of us have known since childhood. It isn't a story that is told with heavy emotions or incredible depth, but it does have a view that is by far spicy, sweet, charming, and interestingly nice in all the right ways.

Centered around three main characters this story begins similar to the old "Beauty and the Beast" in where the first main character, a Russian beauty, named Nadia Bessonova's father has stolen "the Rose" from the Beast. That "beast" being Dominic Luder who is an ex-criminal, killer, and mobster. It is because of that Dominic has come to brutally collect from the patriarch Bessonova, whose main course in life has been to steal, cheat, lie, and cast off his daughters through any means productive for him (such as marriage and sex). Bravely, Nadia makes the decision to go with Dominic so that she can buy her family sometime. While in captivity, she learns about satisfying lust and that Dominic is more than she expected. She learns that he is a trapped person who has created a prison as safety, and he learns through his regained lust and reopened vision how to trust and care for another again. However, as a new twist to the tale, the sister of Nadia, Jelena, comes to narrate the distressful and empowering attempt of helping her sister. With each narration you see every character grow and change (Nadia being the least to have to change) as their experiences happen to them.

In a nutshell, this book seriously won't let you down. However, that is all based upon the fact of your liking a "good" erotica and tale mixed together as one.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit how much I liked this book. I try not to hold erotic or adult romance books on too high a level, mainly because I'm usually not very impressed with them. They usually have the characters jumping into things too quickly, or not very enticing characters, or not enough chemistry. They're not usually very amazingly written stories. But sometimes I get surprised, and this book surprised me.

Now, I'm not saying that this book was amazingly written, with great characters or any of that stuff. And I'm sure that there are going to be several people that look at this book, and that read this book, and do not like what happened. But, for some reason, I did.

I found this book by chance, and thought it sounded good. And it's a Beauty and the Beast retelling, which I didn't know until I'd already started it. Finding this out made me pay more attention to certain things, and yet still didn't make me dislike the book any more than I already did, which was not much at all.

Enslave's main character is Nadia, one of three sisters, whose father deals with crime. And when her father goes a bit too far and ends up in Dominic's debt, Nadia gives herself to Dominic so he won't kill her family. And so Nadia ends up as a slave to Dominic, while her sister Jelena is trying to find a way to get her back.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the relationship between Nadia and Dominic. I probably shouldn't, but I rather liked Dominic. He's rough around the edges, but he actually does care for Nadia, and I liked the ending. And I liked Nadia, as well. She wasn't too selfless, and she stood up to Dominic when it needed to be done. They had some problems with the whole, being-locked-up thing, but that worked itself out.

I was definitely surprised by what happened with Jelena. That was not a plot-line that I saw coming, and I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd have liked. She's really quite the bitch, and goes overboard even if she thinks what she's doing is right. I'm not going to say too much more on this, though, because that could be major spoilers.

I did not like Nadia and Jelena's father. He's, just, pathetic. And despicable. I didn't like him, and felt the sisters should have stuck up to him way before they did.

One problem that I did have with the story, is that I wasn't quite sure what time it was set in. Nadia's family is from Russia, and one of them was sold as a mail-order-bride, and where they live and how they live hints at an older time, but they have very new cars and cellphones... This very well could be set in modern times, but it felt like it should have been in the past.

Oh, also: sex. There is a lot of sex in this book. Not only between Nadia and Dominic, either. And there's some kinky stuff happening, and a threesome, and some lesbian stuff. There's sex in almost every chapter, too, but mixed in with actual plot movement.

And even with all the sex and Jelena, I read this book really fast. It was a while ago, but it was in less than two days, I know. I was surprised with how quickly the book went by, how easy it was to get through.

So, yea, I enjoyed this book quite a bit. And if I ever stumble upon another of Yardley's books, I will be getting it.

Great assortment of Christmas songs!

I really enjoy the songs in this book. They are not overly complicated, but are definitely not advanced. I'd say this is perfect for a middle level player. I like that there are a variety of classics as well as newer Christmas songs as well. The book also has guitar chords in case you want to have a little duet.

Creative without being too complex

This collection of Christmas songs and carols has been just the right thing for me. The arrangements are a meduim level which is perfect. They are upbeat and arranged with creativity without being too complex for an intermediate player. I even bought one for my grown daughter who is more advanced than myself, and she likes it. Now we have a familiar book to play out of when we visit each other.

Excellent for College Composition Instructors

A teaching colleague of mine recommended this text for use in the freshman comp English class I was teaching. Although the text is pricey, it is well worth it, since it operates on the three levels stated in the title. You have a plethora of instructional content (my students appreciated the relevancy of the articles, and enjoyed the one-act play included), plus grammatical instruction, and assistance through the inclusion of rhetorical guidelines. It is an invaluable tool for use in the classroom. The only mistake I made was adding other texts for use in the class--next time around, I will rely more on the use of this textbook (since the cost is higher than many other composition texts), and limit my other fictional reading requirement.

A punch to the gut . . .

This is surely the most provocative and deeply troubling book I have read in many moons. It is a provocation in that it has gently forced me to consider or reconsider what discipleship to Jesus Christ is all about in terms of my relationship to the society and culture of which I am a part. It is deeply troubling in that my reconsideration seems to indicate that I, like nearly every other Christian I know, has bought into a way of being Christian which is so overly contentualized to my own cultural scene that it is, at many points, simply colluding with the powers that be rather than a faithful journey with the one who loved me and gave himself for me. So much to consider here. In a rut? Thinking Jesus must have meant more than church life in the 21st century seems to indicate? You might try this . . .

About the Author
Christopher A. Kearney is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He is also Director of the UNLV Child School Refusal and Anxiety Disorders Clinic. Dr. Kearney's research interests include school refusal behavior, selective mutism, posttraumatic stress disorder in maltreated youth, perfectionism, and other anxiety-related conditions in children and adolescents as well as issues of quality of life in persons with severe handicaps. The author of several books and numerous book chapters and journal articles on these topics, Dr. Kearney also conducts workshops for school districts and mental health and other agencies regarding school refusal behavior and selective mutism. A Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 12; Clinical Psychology), he is a recipient of the William Morris Award for Scholarship, the Barrick Scholar Award, the Barrick Distinguished Scholar Award, the Harry Reid Silver State Research Award, the Distinguished Teaching Award, the Outstanding Graduate Faculty Award, and the Academic Advisor Award-Graduate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Kearney received his B.A. in psychology and sociology from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. He completed his internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center before moving to Las Vegas.

Great Intro To Greenhouses/Hotbeds/Coldframes

As others have said, it is not an up-to-date, high tech resource. It is, however, very informative concerning the following: things to consider in the dreaming stages, very useful in planning, very helpful in choosing among types of greenhouses, gives many examples of actual greenhouses, both attached and freestanding, good descriptions of materials available and approximate costs in the late 1990's, upsides and downsides of the choices one will make. What you don't learn from the title is that Chapter 10 is a good discussion of hotbeds and coldframes.

I will be building a greenhouse to extend the growing season for my tomatoes, eggplants, chili peppers and tomatillos. I will also be building a hotbed for growing seedlings to get a jump on the growing season. This book has really helped me to sort all of that out and make key decisions about what and how to build. I read it, nearly cover to cover, in two days. It's a quick read if you already have some experience with the subject, yet it is detailed enough to be useful for the absolute beginner (IMHO).

Building Your Own Greenhouse, is a wonderful book for not only building your own greenhouse, but gives you very basic perspectives on how you would like an invented greenhouse design to manifest from your personal creativity in relation to your home in the implication of the books subject on greenhouses and conserving home consumption of energy and using solar reflective energy in ones home.

Was very disappointed with this book. There just isn't much knowledge wedged between the covers. As one witty critic wrote (about a different book), "The covers of this book are too far apart."
