About the Author
An expert in corporate governance of IT and sustainability management, A. L. Holt is Director and Founder of Longitude 174 Limited and a board member of two charitable trusts. She studied mathematics at Imperial College, London and went on to spent the next 20+ years working internationally in a variety of roles from systems analyst through to CIO. She joined the world of standards development in 2005, and has enjoyed leading a group that identifies market needs, assesses academic research and delivers timely and relevant international standards.

Another MUST HAVE book for internal support staff and consultants to CxOs

There is a saying in old schools, "We can't all be scholars, but we can all be good to each other." In my experience, senior executives and board members tend toward the latter when confronted with critical IT decisions.
This book is a fast introduction to the *must understand* knowledge for senior-most executives - and their support staff - when called to make governance decisions. It should also be read by and in the library of all those who support senior executives, joining Harwell Thrasher's "Boiling the IT Frog", and England's "Plus! Standard+Case", Steve Bell's "Run Grow Transform", Charlie Betz's "Architecture & Patterns for IT", and (of course) all the appropriate committee-wrought frameworks, guidelines, and standards.
